Gallbladder and other pathologies: 7,788 cases, a cohort study in North Western India

INTRODUCTION: Gallbladder diseases are a well-studied subset of in the Gangetic belt India. But, prevalence gallbladder diseases, both benign and malignant (as whole subset) has not been studied Eastern Rajasthan yet. This study aims to provide an epidemiological overview all histopathologically proven gall bladder from standard pathology laboratories Jaipur. MATERIAL AND METHODS: In this chart review analysis, we scrutinized records at four major departments labs Jaipur, over five years; which 7,788 patients had pathologies. We harnessed raw data pathologies obtain meaningful results. RESULTS: Histopathological analysis revealed percentage overall as 2.59%. The accounted for 2.65% it. Cholelithiasis (41.32%) was most common with acute cholecystitis cholelithiasis (29.49%), chronic (18.73%), (8.28%), acalculous (1.11%), reactive hyperplasia (0.69%), mucocele (0.09%) xanthogranulomatous (0.08%) descending order frequency. Adenocarcinoma (83.49%) found, followed by undifferentiated carcinoma (5.34%), squamous cell (4.85%) adenosquamous (1.94%) that order. Gradewise, malignancies were commonly grade 2. sex ratio favoured females subsets; being 1:4 1:2 61 70 years age is affected group sexes. CONCLUSION: would make difference national average contribute hugely registry, since it showcases analysed large geographic location country. It also benefit clinicians better decision-making region.
